Employee Time Sheets

This Excel template is a simple way for HR managers or GMs to track employee time. The sheet works pretty simply. The flow goes as follows: Enter data into database for clock in / clock out, then you can create reports based on that data.
The reports include daily hours worked for each day of a defined month, monthly total hours for any defined year, and any total hours beteween andy start/end date.
The columns for data entry are:
- Date
- Name
- Work Type (Up to 8 categories)
- Other Work Type (PTO/Jury Duty/Other)
- Clock In Time / Clock Out Time
Everything is pre-formatted and ready to go immediately. Also, there are printable visuals for the total hours by month for any given year.
The three main report tabs are:
- Daily hours for a given month
- Monthly hours for a given year
- Hours across any start/end date
On each of the report tabs, the user can define the month or year to be reported on as well as the employee. There is any option to show 'All' employees as well.
The percentage of each worktype will display and all hours are aggregated for each period so you can easily see totals.
The template was designed with the base principals in mind and it can be expanded very easily by duplicating the tabs in order to see mutliple time frames at the same time and/or multiple employees at the same time.
Management can be done by having all the employees keep their own versions of this sheet and then send their data to the HR manager weekly or they can communicate to their hours in whatever way works best. Then, the manager can track all of the employee data on their own master workbook where the data can easily be reported on.
